About LANalarm

LANalarm is a client server program that can trigger and receive alarms within a matter of seconds. There are two components of the system.

Server - The server is the hub of all LANalarm activity. The only requirement for the server program is that it should reside on a machine with a "static IP" address. Virtually all information will go through the server first. Alarms are sent through the server and then passed on to all clients. The server also stores the code to clear these alarms and knows who is who on the network for name and location translation purposes.

Client - The LANalarm Client allows for individual users to send and receive the warning alarms that are related to LANalarm. The client application is installed on each individual system that you want connected to the LANalarm Server.

LANalarm has MULTIPLE alarm types. Some of the alarms are:

• "Help Me" alarm - This will signify an emergency where help is needed in a particular office. This alarm is very useful in case of a medical emergency.
• "Please Evacuate" alarm - Triggering this alarm will alert all office personnel to evacuate in an orderly manner. 
• "Lock-down" alarm This alerts everyone to stay in their rooms or offices and lock the doors. This alarm is very useful in a school, campus or public building setting.
• "Shelter In Place" - This is for situations that might be taking place outside where you need to keep your employees safe but let them continue business as usual.
• ETC. - Do you have additional alarm/alert needs? The best part about LANalarm is the ability for us to configure to your exact needs. LANalarm has no limit to the number or type of alarms you might want or need. In fact we will configure the system to your exact requirements.

LANalarm also has a USER and MACHINE dictionary.  This feature - co-developed with a local government facility, creates the optimal conditions for summoning help to the appropriate employee/location while ensuring the safety of others in case of an evacuation, lock-down or medical emergency (i.e. evacuation - "Don't go by John's office on the way out!")
